Pay Vendors How You Both Want

For many of our users, the per-word rate isn’t cutting it anymore. Translating isn’t any more a typing thing in Bureau Works and we had to deliver tools that reflect this.

Now, vendors can log their actual hours worked on a project, and PMs can approve or request adjustments.

You can continue to use words, but now you can also use hours to keep track of effort.

But the beauty is that it’s all connected—projects, payments, financials—seamlessly.

More Flexibility for Vendor Rates

Part of our system design Northstar is making our software more flexible. And here we are allowing vendors to add a multitude of rates to cover any combination of language pairs and workflow types. More granularity so that you can set up things your way. At Bureau Works Mi Casa es Su Casa for real.

And while we were at it, we cleaned things up: Billing and language settings are now combined into a single page. Less clutter, fewer clicks, more efficiency.

More Ways to Import Your Glossaries

If payments and rates are the backbone of vendor relationships, glossaries are the backbone of quality translations.

Now, in addition to TBX, you can import glossaries in XLSX format—because who doesn’t love options?

Our goal is to make Bureau Works more accessible to all users, not just translation experts who know what a TBX even stands for. A Glossary is a list of terms and a list of terms is a glossary. It should be that simple, and now it is. 🙂

Terminology Kanban, Now with Bulk Import

If flexibility is our #1 priority, Kanban improvements are a close second.

Terminology plays a huge role in AI-driven pre-translation, and now you can bulk import terms into your Kanban using XLSX. No more one-by-one manual entries.

Marketo Email Preview in Our Translation Editor

Getting a new user into your marketing tools? A bureaucratic nightmare. Compliance, permissions, extra costs—just to let a translator peek at an email?!Not anymore. Now, vendors can preview your Marketo email campaigns right inside Bureau Works—no extra user fees, no extra steps.

Contentful Integration Gets Even Smoother

Last time, we made sending nested content in Contentful a one-click process. Now?

You can also pull or push nested content directly from the Contentful sidebar. More efficiency, less clicking. We love it!
