How does GPT-5 SRT translation perform?
We tested a 14-minute English SRT file translated into Spanish.
GPT-5 translated only the first 30 seconds, crashed when we tried to download, and wouldn’t let us retrieve the file later.
Bureau Works translated the entire file on the first try, allowed edits for every sentence, and saved the history, so files remain accessible months or even years later.
The takeaway? LLMs can generate text, but they’re not built for professional subtitle workflows. Bureau Works is.

CHAT GPT should never be used for trnaslation purposes unless you have a strong contract saying they are not allowed to use your material and still… Bureau Works is good, I use diferent platforms according to the client’s choice. I use Bureau Works for pro bono and it allows me to spot every doubt. Sometimes even too many, as it does not allow creativity…
