Fabio Correa Gomes14 Aug 2025·🎙️ What's LatestAgencies give clients savings from translation memory and repetitions all the timeBut let’s be honest, those savings usually hide in a spreadsheet somewhere. What if they showed up like store credit? Every reused sentence adds to your client’s balance. They can see exactly how much they saved and where it came from. Clear. Simple. Easy to share with leadership. For agencies, it’s more than a nice report. It’s proof you’re working smarter. And the best part? When clients can see those savings pile up, they’re more likely to stick around to take full advantage. And with custom saving rules, you can keep that goodwill growing for years.

Fabio Correa Gomes12 Aug 2025·🎙️ What's LatestCan a CAT Tool Help You Bypass AI Detectors?Bypassing AI detectors isn’t the main reason to use a CAT tool. But some features can make it happen. Glossary & Terminology Control: If you have a glossary set up, the CAT tool applies it to all LLM translations. Your terms are replaced or adapted to match the glossary. This removes typical LLM words and sentence patterns, shaping the text to your style and reducing repetitive or “AI-sounding” output. Integrated Human Feedback: Translator edits are saved in translation memory. Over time, the LLM suggestions adapt toward a more human style. This can lower the chance of detection. Multiple Author Inputs: CAT tools often involve several translators and editors. Different writing styles create natural variation in phrasing. This breaks the uniformity of raw LLM output. The Result: While the primary role of a CAT tool is to improve workflow and quality, the mix of human edits, terminology control, and varied input can also make text less likely to trigger AI detectors.Vimeo

Fabio Correa Gomes7 Aug 2025·🎙️ What's LatestAs translators, we’ve always had to choose: Great text editors like Google Docs or Word...or translation systems with memories and glossaries. We get why these worlds stayed apart: Segments. They brought automation. Allowed discounts. Gave peace of mind especially to Localization Managers. It’s common to hear: “50% of segments are in memory, block them.” And just like that, segments become the logic behind every choice. Managers cherry-pick This one gets translated. That one gets skipped. From their view, it works. From a creative view? It’s chaos. No flow. No warm-up. Just silos. We believe in a third way. Unify the usability of a great text editor with 40 years of translation tech in one platform. That’s Free-Flow: A translation editor without segments, built to prioritize flow. Fabio Correa Gomes6 Aug 2025·📣 Product UpdatesIt's so much easier to break up a huge task into little chunksJuly 2025 Product Update It's so much easier to break up a huge task into little chunks . "Divide et impera ” said Julius Caesar. We took that saying to heart and you can now split work units in Bureau Works. That alone could have been this month's update. But we didn’t stop there. We also gave AI a moment of respite. Someone recently said AI is like an overeager intern who never stops yapping . Always correcting, always chiming in, always nodding along. So now you can control just how much or how little it gets to say. And while we’re at it, we just crossed 100,000 subscribers on YouTube . We still can't believe it. One hundred thousand people who care about the future of translation as much as we do. That means the world to us. Thank you for being part of this journey. Let’s get into what else is new. Split Work Units A massive project lands with a few gargantuan files, which creates work units with thousands of segments. Suddenly, the entire timeline hinges on dividing up that file into bits and pieces so that translators can finish their part. That used to have to take place outside Bureau Works. It was manual, error-prone and complex. That dark epoch in Bureau Works is now over. With our new work unit splitting feature, you can divide a file into as many parts as needed with a single click. The original task stays intact, but new subtasks are created so multiple linguists can work in parallel. Simple, effective and effortless. Target-Based Cost Calculation Quoting a translation project can be tricky. You start with source-based pricing, but the final output ends up much longer. Now you can calculate costs based on the actual deliverables using the target logfile. Run it automatically when quoting or manually later on. Regardless, you’re in full control. Noticed how translation pricing is drifting away from pure source word count? Maybe it’s not the future, maybe it’s already the present. Pricing by impact isn’t a dream. It’s where we’re headed. This is just a tiny step in that direction. Added to the already available "Pay by Hours" feature, Bureau Works is laying out the groundwork for flexible, dynamic and intelligent cost calculation that is truly compatible with this AI era. Regex Search in Editor, Glossary, and TM Sometimes you’re not searching for a word, but a pattern. That’s where regular expressions come in. For instance, catch cases like 10 kg or 5cm that may need spacing adjusted per locale with a broad search instead of having to look for every occurrence of kg or cm you can create a simple command that matches a number followed by optional space and unit. Now available in the Editor, Glossary, and Translation Memories, Regex search turns into a real linguistic sleuth. Take Control of AI Like we said, AI can sometimes feel like an eager intern, always offering suggestions, even when you didn’t ask. Helpful at times, but often just extra noise. That’s why we’ve added more control to the Editor. You can now modulate exactly what shows up in the Augmented Actions menu. And if you turn everything off, the menu disappears entirely. You can crank the volume all the way down, leave it somewhere in the middle for easy listening or mute it entirely. You're the boss. Custom Project Reports It's hard to believe it but it's 2025 and electronic paper trails are still huge. That's why we went the extra mile and enabled your custom logo and notes to flow seamlessly onto your electronic paper trails exported from Bureau Works. It’s not just a document. It’s your document , clean and on-brand. You can also add extra charges like taxes or service fees directly to your project costs. They’ll show up in both payables and receivables, so nothing gets missed and your numbers stay on track. Improved Notification Management Admins can now manage notifications for users. There’s also a new alert when a project manager gets assigned to a project. Plus, users can now change their email through a dedicated tab. What’s New 100,000 People Who LOVE Language Technology Coming Together Through Our Channel! ❤️ Our YouTube channel has become a home for honest conversations in localization. Now over 100,000 of you have joined us. That’s not just a milestone it’s a signal. People still care. About language. About impact. About making this work better. Thank you for being part of it. Watch an episode that will make you pause and reflect The Translation Game Has Changed, Time to Redesign the Rules AI didn’t ask for permission. It just walked into the room, started translating websites, documents and presentations for pennies, and left everyone else, translators, agencies, buyers, wondering what just happened. But maybe the real story isn’t about tools or speed. Maybe it’s about the game itself . Who’s playing, what rules they’re using, and why some players don’t even realize the game has changed. Ready for something different? Watch now. Translate without segments Traditional editors break content into chunks. It’s predictable, useful, and efficient. But when you need flow, nuance, or flexibility, segments get in the way. That’s why we built Free-Flow, an editor that matches meaning, not just words. Designed for depth, not boundaries. Imagine translating like you’re in Google Docs or Word. Free, fluid, intuitive. On the surface, it feels simple. But behind that simplicity is some of the most advanced tech we’ve ever built. Curious how it works? Take a look at the Free-Flow technical deck Sign up for the Free-Flow beta here Thanks for reading. In a world that’s moving fast, we’re building tools that help you work smarter, not harder. There’s more coming, and we’re glad you’re on this journey with us. Want to make the most of this moment? We’re well positioned to help. Let’s talk here. Let’s make it happen, let’s make it WORKs!
Fabio Correa Gomes5 Aug 2025·🎙️ What's LatestLLMs forget just one thing. The stuff that actually mattersThey remember facts. But when it comes to matching tone, terms, and writing style? They get lost. Lately, I spend more time prompting them to remember the words I like, and the ones I don’t, than actually translating. You upload 10 pages. You upload your glossary. You say: “Translate this. Use these terms. Be consistent.” And it tries. Bless its little neural heart, it really tries. Page 1? Flawless. Page 2? Mostly okay. Page 3? Terms start drifting. By Page 5? It’s freestyling. By Page 10? You’re re-translating the translation. Not because the LLM isn’t smart. Because it doesn’t care what you said five prompts ago. And it’s not designed to. It doesn’t store your decisions. It doesn’t build memory. It doesn’t understand consistency unless you keep yelling it into every prompt.
